Testing out Monetize options

I deleted my old posts because it was a lot of personal stuff from a while back. Recently, thanks to certain struggles in this economy, money has been tight.

Anyway, I have been looking for a better paying job and during this search I kept seeing these "work from home" options. They will pay you to take surveys, shop, stuff envelopes, so many things. My look into this started with a repeated ad in the job seekers section of the local paper. "Earn thousands stuffing envelopes!" I thought it sounded too easy, but figured, like so many other people I'm sure, I could do this during downtime or watching TV and earn a little extra. I had nothing to loose I thought.

So I visited the web site when red flags came up - I was being asked to pay money before I did anything. It wasn't a lot, but when I asked some charity organizations about working from home, they simply sent the information and then it was up to me to decide if I wanted to do the work or not. I decided to investigate a little more before entering my credit card information.

What I found was surprising. That particular earn money from stuffing envelops was not only a scam, but on the continued to scam people once they found out it wasn't true. Turns out after you payed the money, they told you there wasn't a way to make money from stuffing envelopes. Instead, to earn some extra money all you had to do was put the same ad you responded to in the paper the following week and they would give you a check based upon the number of people that payed the fee on the site from you ad.

I found this unbelievable!

But it wouldn't be the last time I thought about something similar. In my job search I also found a website that advertised teaching you how to work from home and all the work from home opportunities. All I had to do was pay $99 to access all this information.

A little more research and again this turned out to be something that didn't work.

So I don't know how signing up for the Monetized tools on here will work, but I figured I could try it, since I didn't have anything to loose but my time and effort. I will try to update this blog with different rants and other things I find out, and update on the progress, if any from doing so. I'm sure with how big and vast the internet is, there has to be some honest and legitimate ways normal people like me can make some extra cash with a little effort. Here's hoping this project yields some results.

However, if nothing else, at least I get to practice my writing skill. :)
